Dr. Karim Khan wrote this review article to summarize the mounting evidence that injured tendons need loading to heal and be healthy. He uses the term mechanotherapy to refer to the way loading can stimulate tissue repair. This concept has been the leading treatment philosophy for tendinopathy.
